I've been thinking about ordering an F250. Anyone have experience with this? How long did you wait? Can't believe the price of these things now. $70k for a Lariat FX4 with the 7.3L!

I have ordered my last 6 trucks.
I get a X plan hook up. I pay 1% under invoice. No price discussion.
Anyway, my 22 I picked up last December I waited 11 months for. That was the longest time I have ever waited.
Usually I am 6-8 weeks.
2 buddies ordered late last year and only waited 10weeks. So maybe it is better?

Some dealers won’t order u a truck so ask first.

I've done my last 3 with ford this way. Do the build on line and get the price sheet. Send it to a handful of dealers in and around you and let them bid it. I saved a ton on mine. It took 3 months for truck to arrive.

Good info and the lead time.

The X plan is a hook up for sure. I have read that if you pay for a $35/year membership with Mustang Club of America, that makes you eligible for the X plan after 90 days but I'm afraid that if I wait, the price of the truck goes up and I'd lose any savings.

When did you order your last truck that took 3 months? That timeline is encouraging.

All of the orders took 3 months. Last one was in '19. While waiting for truck to arrive I also got in the mail a coupon from Ford for an additional 2000.00 to be used for any new product purchase. I took this in at close and they accepted it so basically I save another 2k. Truck window sticker came in at 65640.00. Ended up at 56500 agreed price prior to ordering, and then another 2k off. This was before tax and fees.

My brother picked up his 2023 F250, 3 weeks ago.  Took around 8 months from initial order.  It sat in San Diego somewhere for the final 4 weeks before delivery.

Got my '23 June 1st. Ordered October 28th.  '23 order banks are closed so you would be ordering a '24.  Grainger Ford in Iowa is offering 2% under invoice on new '24 super duties. https://www.fordtremor.com/forums/ford-tremor-purchasing.6/  Hopefully that link works.  You would obviously have to make arrangements to get the truck but you could order now and not have to wait until x-plan kicks in. And they price hold. I don't think 3 months is a realistic timeline anymore.  There is also talks of a strike so that could have a huge impact.

Thanks! Yea, I've been hearing about this potential strike. That would screw up prices and timeline I'd imagine.

Dumb question but I don't know so Eff it...MSRP and Invoice are different?

When I bought my '17 F350 Platinum no dealer around would even discuss price.  I know it was 6 years ago, but the trucks were brand new so similar situation to now.  I went to Costco's auto program and 'ordered a F350' (you don't really order through costco, they send your info to a local dealer and the dealer has to give you the 'costco' price).  I got it for about 8k back of sticker when all other dealers wanted sticker plus a markup..

Early 2023 I was shopping for a new F450 and my local dealer in Reno wanted sticker plus $20k (market premium) so around $125k and wouldn't budge on price.  Dealers in Texas (Planet Ford iirc) had them in stock and offering them for $95k more or less.  Same truck.  I told my wife I don't mind a road trip from Texas to save $35k (including taxes).

I've heard ford is no longer offering the HO 6.7 this year........

Invoice is what the dealer paid for it. Kind of but not really.
MSRP is the prices on the sticker that is on the window. But dealer can “add” stuff on. Tint. Paint protection etc. Pure mark up for the dealer.

One of the reasons I order. I don’t pay any of that crap.

Same here, except $54k MSRP (F-150) and price was $45k.

Ordered in Oct, arrived February.

Built online and sent to Granger. It'll be interesting to see what they sell this truck for. Thanks for information!

I would be interested as well.  Wish they were closer but depending on price may be worth the airfare, fuel and hotel to go get it.

Granger just came back with their quote and it might be worth the drive. MSRP on the Lariat 7.3 that I built is $68,610. Invoice is $65,338, sell price is $64,006.
You might just for kicks try Dee Westling, internet sales Holmes Tuttle Ford in Tucson. 520-292-3600. dwestling@htford.com
