Had the rescue towing company put a team member in a broken down car over night. Couple burritos, gatorade, jacket with hoodie and his 9mm. This was paid for by the way or was included in the vehicle rescue fee's. Next morning, meet back up and he had two groups roll in on him. Both stopped. First group saw him pop up inside the car a took off. Second group stopped, walked up, he said hello with the 9 and they split faster than you could say what the f*ck. This was all way past midnight and not on any special holiday.

Friend John had his gen 4 Funco break a midboard deep in the dunes. He decided to spend the night under the car with a moving blanket. Middle of the night, had a sxs roll up on him. He pops out from under the car and it took off.

Obviously no one showing up to help or they would have tried.

Sounds like this guy was out doing the same chit! They are definitely real. People suck man. We got pretty damn concerned when my buddies car broke that this dude was going to pop up out of no where on us.

Sure are - I spent a night at the bottom of Devils Bowl one night under the car - some peeps were cool and left water and supplies and others were looking to be on a shopping spree. I was prepared and greeted the midnight thieves with a very warm welcome............I will say the peace and solitude spending the night in the open desert is awesome...........Glamis is a BEAUTIFUL place but can be dangerous if you are not prepared.......act accordingly
 
Think i would have got bad vibes from that too.Although i have never been in that situation.I usually dont go up to another group like that if theres only a couple people out anyways.Pretty sure i would have just packed up and gone back to camp and if it was in az i may have had hand close to firearm.Think your senses tell you of situation or if its just a solo rider whos out to ride and just wants to warm up by the fire too or a weirdo that says lets go back

But the slience at olds when no one is out is nice have done a couple rides there to watch sunrise and you can hear everything from far away.Last time i did it i had my whip flashing and saw a bike in the distance cruising around riding early.He ended up riding to there i was parked on top of olds came by to see if i was ok and hung out and talked for a bit.He was out to see sunrise as well told him i saw him coming from way back in washes he had the helmet lights and was able to see good though.

Thanks for sharing this story.I need to have my kids read what you wrote , and what your group experienced , because they just don't know... to them stuff like this doesn't happen in Glamis.

Sounds like the ninja assassin airtag was never confirmed so likely he was just a hammered guy around Glamis.

We've had a couple odd encounters after dark at our camp in Wash 19 over the years.
 
No offense but if I ran into a group of people out at olds by themselves around midnight, I would assume they may be into shots & drugs as well :ROFLMAO:
