Carne asada seasoning...

Really good meat shouldn’t need much just some Lawrys seasoning salt for me.
100% agree. Makes great gringo carne

fwiw i put this on EVERYTHING. Makes great burgers, carne, steak, but its absolutely killer on a good tritip soaked in butter for 5 min after cooking rare

As @BaBaBouy said, carne HAS to have some OJ.  The acidity is key, but also the flavor.  I like everything spicy, so I like to put some fresh cut peppers into it (generally serrano and jalapeño but if I'm not cooking for a bunch of biatches even some habanero).  Beyond that really any typical rub that's mostly salt/pepper/cayenne/etc. will work.  I do dig Meat Church's Fajita one posted above... but I tend to like most of there stuff if I'm honest.

I screwed up a few years ago and bought Wagyu ranchera skirt steak I can never go back now that stuff needs hardly nothing to season.

Another option that we love. Marinate overnight with some oranges. Easy and great! Buy it at your local grocery store.

DANG, LOTS of options.  I need to buy a few of them & try a bunch...

thanks folks

Well my wife found this at the store she was at today.  It's a marinade.  First reaction when I opened it....  it's worcestershire sauce with some salt and pepper in it.  NOT impressed.   But the meat was fatty and flavorless too....

Decades ago when I lived in So Cal we use to go the River south of Blythe often. On HWY 78 south of I-10 there is a little town you drive thru called Ripley. There was a market there called J&J Market run by a local family. OMG they had the best carne asada in the world. I wonder if it is still there? I remember they sold the market to a gal who said she got the recipe with the purchase. Anyone know of it and if they still have that awesome Carne?
