Car/Mobile Audio - History and current set ups

Very, very nice! That enclosure is at least 80 hours of work! I have never owned ANY Kicker equipment in the past... just couldn't ever do it (from a quality standpoint). Then, I bought my Weekend Warrior HKD4005 5th wheel in 2022 and it's LOADED with Kicker equipment. Too much shit to replace and most of it is $$$$ gear.

Crusty said you were a Baller. This build confirms this... but also shows you still got one foot in the ghetto like a true Mini Pimp!
If by baller, j00r talking about my jewels, den jes.

The labor was free. I only paid for the equipment.

I had a roommate that was an installer up her in vista/oceanside back in 88. My dad had a bitchin wood shop so let the box builds commence.. My favorite system that I had was in my S-10 extra cab. Had all zapco Z220, System 200 and a S80 along with a Zapco PX crossover. We put 4- 12" subs in a three chamber isoberic in the extra cab, 8- 6" mids and 6 tweeters. Used to compete in sound offs at truck shows. That thing would hit hard but sounded so clean.. Right now I just have a small box 10 that I built a box into the back seat of my jeep TJ with JL audio 6" separates in the sound bar and 5x7 in the dash.
My original plan was to go with Zapco. I had two of their "brick" 4k for the original plan but things played out different.

I've always thought Zapco is/was the best.

Without knowing your location, my suggestion would be to take it to the closest Al an Ed's location. I know John at the Vista location has stepped up his skillset/training considerably and now has a very good Installer in his shop.

I would handle it for you but I have too much on my plate right now (Versatube Carport for my Weekend Warrior and a demolition/ground up House build behind schedule). But, if you can't find anyone to take care of it... let me know.
Is Streetnoyz still around? They built a badass system for me back in the day.

My 72 BMW 2002tii had a Blaupunkt 8 track. I used to hit up thrift stores to find tapes to rock. Y'all haven't lived until yore rocking Fleetwood Mac with the windows down and the side vents cranked open . . .

Welcome back!

I gotta find time to get my sequoia limited to you

Do you know What happened to the dood in el cajon (advanced audio)? He was my go to for years and hes just gone

I’ve never been a huge car audio guy. I’ve just built basic drunk party girl systems

2001 chevy 1500 extra cab cant remember head unit but had jbl components with dual downfire dei 10” subs driven by a 1k watt dei amp (the rumble seat 😂 would make you’re booty numb
2005 2500hd crew basically same set up but the directed subs were behind the seat back.

Current 2001 f350 kicker 5x7 components x4 1000 watt amp with dual 10” jl audio subs behind the seat back
