Cali roads can suck it!

Take a drive on the 99 from Fresno to Stockton.  The 405 and 5 will feel really smooth.
I did Visalia to Sacramento on the 99 to go see Roger Waters a couple weeks ago. I felt like until that trip that my Gladiator Mojave rode pretty smooth for a Jeep. I took I-5 back down. It was quite pleasurable in comparison.
And less than one tenth the traffic.

Pulled my new 20' enclosed, empty, across the 210 this evening. Tried the #4 lane in Azusa. Effing horrible. Jumped in the #3 lane from there to Pasadena before cutting up to La Crescenta. Much better. Seeing more and more tractor trailers in the #3 lane now as well.

Just came into the LA Basin last night.  As soon as you cross the “new” unmanned California AG checkpoint outside Prim… the roads go to crap.  I’ve been in third works countries with better roads. Now reading Cali is looking at a 25 BILLION DOLLAR deficit for the fiscal year.
Just need some new taxes, and the STATE will get right to fixing.  California legislators have been doing this since the 1990’s. We just need a little more tax revenue and it’ll be all good… trust us.

Got to wonder what the outbound movers out of Cali will be this year.

On the 78 from the ocotillo airport to the 86 was just repaved.  It was worse than wash road. They didn’t even grind it smooth, just recapped it. The road is just as bad or worse.  Even the center lines in the road are all over, looks like one spot is about 10” off center and then a sharp turn to get back to center.

I was excited for a minute.  I went home that way one time last year & that stretch was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

they just top oiled that section, no much needed graiding and grinding work was done. I call that section the 78 woops

Well, they really should do something more than lay some oil down.  Hell my Cummins does that as Im going down it, & its not helping either.  LOL.

Grey's Well Rd from the ranger station to the border camping area is all brand new asphalt as of a few years ago, but the scoundrels didn't bother repaving Gordon's Well Rd on the other side of the 8. Turns out, the Border Patrol only uses Grey's Well Rd so that's what got repaved.
