CA does it again, No more New Motorhome sales starting 2025

Smog scam? How long have you been in CA? I can assure you we needed something; don't agree with mandating a specific solution but a limit to the pollution needed to happen (it was hard to breath until the late 80s). I'm all for letting manufacturers figure out how to get there but something does indeed need to happen.
I agree with you. Hell, I don't drive my 55 Buick anymore as it just stinks. I grew up breathing all the carburetor fitted cars. Used to love the smell of the exhaust. Nowadays, Im rolling up my window when a truck or hot rod is idling next to or in front of me. We just don't smell that anymore around here. It has helped. I am a hot roder at heart but wouldn't build a carb'd engine today.

I remember as a kid when we drove around the house (Huntington Beach) my eyes didn't burn, but once we started driving towards the grandparents houses in Duarte or Pasadena my eyes would burn.

Yes, something needed to happen and it did. But to continue to move the goal posts in order to keep those organizations not only alive but thriving seems foolish.

Agree! Look at LA now vs 20-30 years ago, It looks much different now, way less smog.

The funny thing is the air is cleaner with less actual particulates in it, so you can't see it, but I will bet my life the stuff we are burning now is worse for us then 1970s or 80s gasoline. Why do you think it stinks so bad when you run it on older cars???? A lot of the cleaner air is also weather driven.... different weather patterns today blow more of it out of the basin..... The Indians called LA the area of smoke because the air always sucked????? So yes the SMOG stuff is a friggen SCAM

he thing is, We can store water you can't store electricity.
They are building battery storage for electricity, I'm not a fan of it, but its happening.

The Nighthawk Energy Storage project in Poway, California is a battery storage facility that will:

  • Increase grid reliability: Store excess renewable energy, like solar and wind, during peak generation and release it when demand is high

  • Reduce air emissions: Reduce the amount of air emissions from generators during shortages and outages

  • Create jobs: Provide construction jobs and part-time positions to operate the facility

  • Support the local economy: Invest millions of dollars in the local economy and provide long-term property tax benefits

  • Strengthen electrical infrastructure: Safely strengthen existing electrical infrastructure

Just another reason to buy out of state and figure out how to avoid registration here in CA. They are clueless.

Time for people in CA to look into an out of state LLC.

FYI, you have to set up the LLC before you purchase and if plan on financing, the title must be in the name of the LLC.

Montana LLCs seem to be pretty popular. I was going to use Bennett Law until I found a different workaround in AZ. Hope this helps.

All my business asscetts are in an LLC in Uath, learned that 20 years ago. CYA!!

The issue with that is the there are only a few lenders who will finance with a Montana LLC. The LLC must be a single-asset LLC and the loan requires a personal guarantee.
