Brandon and Dems buy IRS

I'm wondering when tax evasion became such a violent act that they decided they needed to be armed. Like I said they should be utilizing actual LEO's, not taking it upon themselves to serve the warrant. BTW, anyone that argues we should be paying or could pay more to "help" others, please feel free to cover my $50K a year, Thanks

WHAT WE FOUND

Between March 1 and June 1, 2022, the criminal division of the IRS ordered $696,000 in ammunition, the IRS told VERIFY in an email.
The order was for the IRS Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) division, which is a federal law enforcement agency that conducts criminal investigations including tax violations, money laundering, cyber crimes, and organized crime involving drugs and gangs. There are more than 2,000 sworn special agents in the division.
“Many of these cases are typically worked in conjunction with other state and federal law enforcement agencies. IRS-CI special agents have been carrying firearms throughout the more than 100-year history of the agency, and have found themselves dealing with some of the most dangerous criminals,” an IRS spokesperson told VERIFY.

I am guessing they go after more than tax fraud criminals and that is why the IRS criminal agents carry a gun.

Can you fill me in on why the IRS needs $750K in small arms ammo? I mean, do they really ne 87k new auditors?
well based on the fan mail I get from them, I think they are doing just fine with what they got lol!

why can't we go to a straight flat tax on everything and everyone pays their fair share?

I have a friend who works for an acct and they file for people every year and the stories I hear about 10 kids here and 8 kids there is ridiculous. knowing they don't have those kids but they don't have to prove anything just a ssn to get paid.

The IRS needs to be expanded.  IRS Auditors pay for their existence many times over.  The people that they look at aren't like you and me.  People like you and me get a letter that says your tax return has been adjusted by $500 and you pay it...and grumble about it.  You recognize a mistake made by somebody....SOMEBODY ELSE
Uh, people like you and me get a notice from the IRS that there was an error and they removed $500 from your bank account or next paycheck.  You then have to spend the next 6+ months arguing with them to get it back. assuming you have the patience/ability to do so.

IRS agents that do criminal work get to carry guns and they need overpriced ammo would be my guess.

The IRS currently employs more than 78,000 people, which is less employees than they had through the 1990s, which averaged over 100,000 employees.   The plan I read says over 10 years they will hire 87,000 employees, they will not all be auditors. The hiring will include support staff, IT people, and all other non-auditor positions.  I think the IRS currently has under 10,000 auditors.

The goal is 87,000 new employees over 10 years.  I bet they will be lucky to find 5,000 people a year.   Now consider how many people quit, get fired, or retire from the IRS each year and the amount of actual new employees is smaller.
Hopefully some of this will be spent on cyber...

Are you serious with this post?

Do you seriously think the best way to collect tax money is to spend a large fortune for more auditors??

Here's a novel idea. Simplify the tax code. Remove all of the deductions, credits, deferrals and loopholes. Just make the tax a percentage of a person's income with a linear increase in tax rate as the income increases. That's it. They currently collect all of the income/interest data directly from the source via computers. All they need to do is track down unreported sources of income, which is far easier to do than verifying all of the current loopholes aren't being abused.

Simplify the tax code, don't build an army of tax collectors.

When the IRS is larger than the military, will the public finally wake up and realize that the gov't considers us the real enemy?
I believe they did that for the middle class when Trump 'simplified' it.
