When you have the best service dropped on you
without any notice, it strikes a nerve.
(History) I've been buying custom springs from the same company
for 30 years. The last purchase was in the 1990s.
My buddy Sammy asked it I knew any place to buy small
springs, and I said, Sure do.
So I look up the address to make sure I was not forgetting anything.
It turns out, they had moved. No worry, I have GPS.
Today we drove over to "Century Spring" in Commerce Ca.
I was amazed at how large the building was.
The past few years has changed everything I knew about Century Spring.
They originally had two locations, one for sales, and one for manufacturing.
Today, I found out they moved into a gigantic location the houses both.
Massive savings.
Now to the good part.
My old buddy Dave was still working there, and had been the "Store Manager"
at the old location. Dave was extremely help full on Sammy's needs.
Dave measured the sample, checked his catalog, and made several trips
to the massive warehouse to retrieve samples of different spring rates.
Five different springs were selected and Dave placed them in a shipping bag,
and wrote the product numbers on it.
Sammy, grins and says, "Dave, what do I owe you?"
Dave says, "Just a hand shake, I remember Jerry from the other store."
Sammy bought lunch..
