Bike mechanic in San Diego

I always used John Thomas... Last know place he worked was ECC... He is the best

I disagree.... John Thomas owned MOTOTECH in Vista. Best dude around. If he still works at ECC, i would take it to him only

Thanks for posting pitchers of my old stomping ground. I lived a mile away growing up. I even played little league down the street. Hell.. I even graduated from Vista High school. oh ya... My Mom used to shop at Buena Vista Market. Cool stuff, eh? Keep calling all your "Connections" and slamming a man that's not here to defend himself.... Just curious... Have you ever owned a business?

I played Little league on the same field, for three years.

I went to Pre School at the Church the Baseball field was next to.

I rode my brother's ATC 70 around the tree where Motorcycles Unlimited used to be off of Monte Vista in 1983 (the berm for "test riding" after work was done):

MY FRIEND Ahmad Mohammed's Dad OWNED the Buena Vista Market that your Mom shopped at. They lived back on Manzanita behind Wal Mart.

I graduated from RBV in 1997. Went to Crestview and Lincoln. All of my friends lived from Mar Vista to Buena Creek; Blanton's, Heard's and Homans' off of York Drive, Nick Schons at the end of it.

Already mounted and been out riding. Bike was tits and supposedly had a relatively fresh rebuild. Leaving the flag pole Sunday morning the pinging started. Left it at the flag pole and went back to camp for fluids and to DL the manual and Google troubleshoot. No loss of power, no smoke, no leaks, just the added pinging. I’m no Yamaha guy so wasn’t sure what these are likely to have issues with… could be a few common minor issues or some potential major ones. We’ll see

I rode a 110 out in the sage brush behind Palomar College.
I partied out in Shadow Ridge before it was all developed during High School
I don't care about your comments about having a problem with buying 2 stroke oil. I don't care if you have a friend at ECC.
This tread was about a recommendation. You have no valid reason to not recommend John except from buying 2 stroke oil.
You recommend your guy, and Ill recommend John.

I still have my 110 I rode all over Mar Vista, Sunset and almost to South Sante Fe before my Mom found out and lost her shit. Those shops on Sante Fe were our "Go To" places in the 80's and 90's. ALL OF MY FRIENDS went there. I took Belen Kimble (Pro female surfer now, in Surfer movies) all over that area on my 1984 200X in the 90's to look for her lost horse, many times.

We rode bikes in the field that RBV takes up, now... back in '87.

I went to Lincoln when Mrs. Dolan was the Detention Warden and her Husband was the Janitor. Mrs. Tupper, Mr. Watkins, Stoddard for Metal Shop, etc... all my Teachers.

You running premium?

Or, it was running lean?

It's unlikely a valve adjustment issue me thinks. 🤔

Nothing about compression. He's been running T4+ at 97 octane. It was "normal" first couple rides, then Sunday morning this sound developed.
