So, out of nowhere when my policy renewed it more than double. No accidents or claims. So, I'm shopping around.

Progressive is WAY cheaper. Anybody had a bad experience with them?

Progressive is a decent carrier w/ good service. They are considered more of a "standard carrier: and not a " preferred carrier"

so do not expect top notch service if you are leaving a preferred carrier to switch to progressive. Who do you currently have your auto insurance with?

I just got my renewal and went up 35% and last year it went up 25%. My agent had to split my policy and saved $1k a year. Still a big jump from last year. He said the insurance companies couldn't raise rates during COVID and they are now playing catch up. We have Mercury for the RV's and Progressive for the autos. AAA was pretty close in price and coverage but i chose to stay with my agent

This is all true! Every carrier in the state of CA is filing for rate increases.... due to rates being frozen for almost 2 years after covid, thanks to the insurance commissioner in CA.... he pretty much single handedly screwed up the CA insurance market trying to play politics

You should talk to my gal Liz at ACC insurance. Last time I spent 8 hours pricing all my insurance for everything and she still was able to get a better rate on all of it. She just called me this week and some of our cars jumped up almost double. She already has us switched over saving money slightly from what we paid last year.

My progressive policy increased about 50% from last year. The (independent) agent said progressive was still the cheapest they could find.

Have multiple policies with Progressive. Have no complaints nor had any bad experience with them…

we had all the companies. Recently switched to Auto owners group over a year ago. Put everything together and added an umbrella and saved money. It recently renewed with no increase.

I’m in Mesa.

I was using one of the insurance guys that was frequently here as a sponsor and I checked in and on him last year and I was paying almost double what I am now. The whole insurance game is such a racket. I use Geico now since they were easy to get home insurance with.

Insurance companies SUCK!!!

Just removed a car from the policy, no more multi car discount. Single car went up, oddly enough im now paying the same for 1 car that I used to pay for both!

Earlier this year I removed 2 of the 4 cars on my policy as they are not being driven. When my policy renewed it was more for the 2 than the 4.

..the fuq?

Internet quotes..
Switching from AmFam to Progressive, I would pay less for full coverage on my '04 Honda, '05 Jeep, '07 TBSS COMBINED than I do now on JUST the Jeep by itself...same coverage and deductable.

The Progressive quote would include +$5k "accessory" add for the Jeep and the TBSS.

My Hagerty policy is about to renew on the TBSS. Went up to around $1500...no thanks. Called my AmFam guy, it was way more for just regular coverage. WTF?

I have Farmers for my trucks and kids cars. Tried to separate my 22 yr old son so he could get his own policy and Farmers said if he lives with me he HAS to be on my policy. He's $1800/yr for a 2008 Jeep Cherokee, but he pays me for it.

I have a Progressive policy for my RV and kids toy-hauler. Prices seem reasonable. I was in an accident 6 weeks ago (not my fault) and the other party has Progressive. Called it in and they were super cool. A week later a lady from Progressive calls me and asks about the accident. She tells me I should file a claim with my Farmers policy. Why would I do that? She says because we are having trouble getting a hold of our 'driver' and if you want this resolved quickly just file with Farmers. Uh, no. I called my Farmers agent (Nikki Bostic) and she said this is typical with Progressive. Standard play for them, ignore it. I got an email last week with a $1000 settlement offer from Progressive for vehicle damages and bodily injuries. Uh, no. She called me yesterday and was being very rude telling me I need to get my truck to a body shop (it's not running right and at my mechanic's shop in Phoenix). I said why don't you arrange that, this wasn't my fault. She got even more rude telling me all the things I need to do. Look lady, I don't have time for this shit. Time to get lawyer up and have them handle this.
