I have Farmers for my trucks and kids cars. Tried to separate my 22 yr old son so he could get his own policy and Farmers said if he lives with me he HAS to be on my policy. He's $1800/yr for a 2008 Jeep Cherokee, but he pays me for it.
I have a Progressive policy for my RV and kids toy-hauler. Prices seem reasonable. I was in an accident 6 weeks ago (not my fault) and the other party has Progressive. Called it in and they were super cool. A week later a lady from Progressive calls me and asks about the accident. She tells me I should file a claim with my Farmers policy. Why would I do that? She says because we are having trouble getting a hold of our 'driver' and if you want this resolved quickly just file with Farmers. Uh, no. I called my Farmers agent (Nikki Bostic) and she said this is typical with Progressive. Standard play for them, ignore it. I got an email last week with a $1000 settlement offer from Progressive for vehicle damages and bodily injuries. Uh, no. She called me yesterday and was being very rude telling me I need to get my truck to a body shop (it's not running right and at my mechanic's shop in Phoenix). I said why don't you arrange that, this wasn't my fault. She got even more rude telling me all the things I need to do. Look lady, I don't have time for this shit. Time to get lawyer up and have them handle this.
