Anyone know a good Insurance Claim Lawyer?

After speaking with the adjuster (and making this post), I called my agent and he's 'on it.' At first he was giving me the 'aftermarket you don't get full pop for it' schtick, but then I explained how much I actually spent. I have $65k in receipts, now that also includes repairs and maintenance, but likely have $50k+ in 'value' in the machine. He then said, well maybe they were only looking at original purchase price,.. which was $25k.

Anyhow I'm giving him a shot at getting this fixed before I make any additional moves.

Thanks for all the advice and inputs. Will update this thread after I hear from him.

Sincerely,

abc

One thing to keep in mind is the adjuster will give all he can, (makes his life easier), but its him who then has to justify it and explain what and why he paid what he did.

Ok, sorry to hijack this thread, but @ANGRYBUTTCRACK did I miss the story???

What happened...Man that looks so gnarly???

You/family ok?

I don't think you ever get out what you put into these things as far as ins goes!

Sucks...I hope they get you more money.

How did it happen, can you also go after someone else's insurance policy

I think my insurance will go after the insurance for Rick's RV Trailer where this happened. After attending that metal PowerTrip festival, I dropped it off as the fridge would only work on shore power, not propane. They were repairing/testing the system when it went up. 99% sure they caused it.

Fortunately this didn't happen with any of us inside as I don't think we would have made it out.

Before Lawyering up get with your agent. He is the guy who is supposed to work for you, make him do something besides cash checks you send.  Next figure out what coverage you bought. You know what you bought but what did they actually sell you. Get those ducks in order then see where the offer is at. If after all that and you still think that your being under represented lawyer up and start looking for a new insurance company to carry the rest of your policies, because all of them be going up, If they decide to re-new your policy at all.

I had State Farm and they were easy to deal with on my X3.    You can do the negotiations yourself.    Find like kind Polaris Turbos and show them the going price.

Did you have the propane tanks turned off when you delivered it,  Did they touch the propane system,

If they dont step in with there insurance,  a Lawsuit might extend to, Ricks RV,  Refrigerator company might be in a deposition on install,  But the issue with a Lawsuit, is WW is out of business, so no one to go after,  best bet is to work it out with the RV insurance.

The sad truth is "most" agents don't understand the claims process. They generally make a mess of it.

Agents don't handle claims, the claims people do.  Simply be calm and reasonable, ask them what they need, what do you need to provide to prove the value.

Most are humans and don't react well to people being jerks. Be nice until it's time to not be nice.

There are always options as a consumer.

Lawyers are great for claims people, no more screaming customers....

as this is 100% not your fault and the liability should be on the repair shop i would talk to your agent about that and at least get your deductible back from them. you may be able just file the claim against their garage keepers policy rather than going thru your insurance. i had got bad diesel from a gas station and it wiped out the fuel system the dealer would not fix under warranty 26k in repairs i got in touch with the gas stations insurance the paid the claim no problem might be worth a try not using your insurance.

Propane was closed off as all I kept getting was the CHECK light in the days prepping the WW prior to the festival. The festival only had shore power (no other hook-ups), which was fine for us. Yes the RV shop touched the propane system, that was the reason I had it there.

State Farm insures me so they should pay me (and have offered to). If Rick's RV is at fault State Farm can go after them, shouldn't be my problem IMO.

If State Farm pays you, then you will be responsible for your deductible. State Farm will subrogate against Ricks RV if they were negligent. Once State Farm collects the money back from Rick's, they will reimburse your deductible.

my buddy lawn darted his 3 times end over end, had 14k in damage and state farm stroked him a check for repairs with no issues and said if you have any issues later let us know if something pops up due to the accident. now that wasn't a total loss but sure thought it was going to be lol.

LOL!   The insurance carriers are more willing to pay for frame swaps these days.

Insurance agent said they were just looking at original purchase price (of $25k) and not all my receipts (that I GAVE them) for aftermarket. Total of over $65k in receipts, but some of that is maintenance/repairs. Should know more in a day or two... then it's on to what they want to give me for the WW.

Take it and move on. Peace
Yup, I'm asking $35k for my identical 2021 RZR, so I'd be satisfied with $35k.

And when I say identical I truly mean it, .. every aftermarket item on the 21 is the same as what was on my 19 that burned, same make/model, etc. Only differences were the year and hours/miles.
