We usually watch the sun go down on a dune about a mile from the back side of olds.  Last night we saw a sxs that was roped off just behind where we sit.  I saw a post with the man being badly burnt today.  I’m hoping he was life flighted out.  Be careful out there guys!

Looked really bad in the IG video.

Terrible to see. That poor guy probably has a terrible road ahead healing.
If he survives, Burns get infections easily and you continue to cook after the flame is out and he did not look good in the video the A-holes shot.

Not too many things scare me in this life.  Getting burned badly in a sandrail is one of them......Prayers for a speedy recovery.

That was horrific.

One comment I saw was "How drunk was that guy?"

WTF?

I pray that guy survives and makes full recovery!

Somethings in life don't need be about how many likes you get...HELP SAVE A LIFE INSTEAD A_HOLES!!!!!

:simrak:

I'm still spooked by my TH fire. I guess they were testing the fridge ignator repair, walked away and heard a BOOM. Trailer was engulfed. Creepy when I walked to the master and looked at the springs in my burnt bed/mattress. I'm not sure I would have survived if I was inside.

Prayers for this duner. Yes 3rd degree burns can be easily infected, ... he may not survive.

Sad.

Wow, Boom sounds like a gas leak....the overheat protection was so if the ammonia leaked out it wouldn't keep heating the tube till it melted and caught on fire.

It happened to me in the dunes but luckily the flame was blown out by wind. When it happened, middle of night, I immediately jumped out of bed and went out of camper. I turned off gas supply.  In morning we pulled rear fridge cover off and the whole back side of unit was black. I got lucky for sure. Fix was a new fridge and tested all gas joints with a flame to make sure there was no leaks.

Prayers that this gentleman heals and has a good outcome.

Propane was the fuel. Workers managed to shut off the propane tanks that was fueling the fire, but by that time the trailer was engulfed.

There's a reason all the new $$$ Rv's and yachts do not have propane on them.........Even gasoline is a big No-No on yachts (not sure how they fil jet skis/tenders)

kinda same topic, anyone know anything about the life flight that landed at olds on saturday night? rangers cleared a big spot in the back for the chopper to land.

I wasn't there but read on Facebook or Instagram someone was run over at the top of Olds.  Don't know if it's true or even the same instance but supposedly it was bad.  Maybe someone here knows more.
