Shopping for an 1500 AT4 with the 3.0 DIESEL

Any one I should be talking too?

Thanks

He's been a great resource for Christine's brother Eric. Bought a couple of trucks from Jay at great prices.

What? No 6.2L lol - I want one so bad

Good luck with the find!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We split time between Hellifornia and Prescott, its an 800 mile round trip, the mini duramax is getting a lot better mpg! Some have said 30, its rated 26
Drove one the other day, peppy for sure, torque is rated at 495

Careful, I have heard a lot of issues with that motor and that 10 spd is not the same 10 spd as in the 2500.. if you don't need to tow heavy, look at the F150 with the eco boost. My neighbor is getting almost 1000 miles per tank.
My sales guy at Hardin, stood up and shook my hand when I told him I was ditching the diesel, and said he could walk me back to service and show me all the problem trucks in there. He could have easily got another 10-12k out of me if he said they were worth it, but you aren't towing heavy then no need.
The maintenance on the diesels has gotten put of hand.
Just do some research before hand, I'm just passing info on from my dealer.

Thrust bearing issues with the current generation.

One strange thing I was told by a sales guy was dont let it idle more than 15 minutes at a time. Service guys have told him that

I have heard that too from the service guys as well. Has to do with the Regenl! Can't idle like the old diesels.

This?

Friend is a service writer for a large Chevy dealership. He said he wouldn’t touch one if he had to own it outside of warranty.

I have THE guy.... Look on the Liberty GMC site and see if there is anything you want. Dealership is in Arizona. Let me know, and ill give you contact info.

Instead of down voting you could’ve PMd me and asked for his contact and spoken to him about his experiences with them.
A lot of members don't know that a thumbs down takes away a post count. Knowing Matt, this wasn't his intention.

I have the 3L Diesel .... I have my foot in it and it gets 22MPG... if your looking for a GMC 1500 Elevation package... lets talk.... I want to get a new one

I literally just posted 2 days ago about this very thing….. I am downsizing from a 2024 Ram 2500 6.7 to a half to truck I LOVE the look of the Sierra 1500 Elevation trim with the Duramax. I have researched some of the known issues with them. I am torn between the F150 with the 2.7 ecoboost (research that engine) it sounds terrible but is so overbuilt it’s ridiculous. And the Sierra. I ordered a 2026 F150 in Avalanche grey with the 302A package and 2.7 from Dustin from Sunrise Ford (Board Sponsor) 2 days ago but haven’t fully decided yet. I have 2 Sierra 1500’s with 3.0 lined up at a dealership for great pricing but also am waiting for my buddy to sell his truck so he can buy mine. Interested to see what deals I can find in the meantime.
