Hopefully the Flat-as-Kansas torque curve is even better being that’s where the buggy lives! I’d love to eventually do a 6-1 header but also the Hot Head Headers look super slick! Any suggestions for mufflers? The flat-as-Kansas torque curve on the J35 will be a welcome change. You can get eBay headers for it to save some weight over the cast iron manifolds.
It will need lots of muffler. J-motors are LOUD.
Hot head does great work. He built my NA header's for my J and then did my turbo header. Super stand up guy as well.Hopefully the Flat-as-Kansas torque curve is even better being that’s where the buggy lives! Flipping the intake does look like it sets it up just right! I really like the color scheme on your intake and plan on styling mine the same.View attachment 160140
Not the best picture of the headers, but Hot Head made my headers/exhaust and used the little race mufflers as well. He adds a baffle to help quiet things down, but it still sounded great rippin. My Tom Face headers had so much drone, you couldn't hear crap over it.
Also, easy to flip the intake since it looks like the cooler/tool rack is right at the throttle body
Flipped intake doesn’t really work for me :/ I’m okay cutting tubes and adding new as my dad has a tubing bender but I was hoping to avoid itView attachment 160140

Yes, I drilled the fuel rail mount bolts and was planning on plugging the EGR hole. Luckily I didn’t do anything besides the rails being that it won’t work for meIf you decide to go flipped intake, there are additional step besides just moving parts.
Even if you plugged the EGR, it is nonfunctional.Yes, I drilled the fuel rail mount bolts and was planning on plugging the EGR hole. Luckily I didn’t do anything besides the rails being that it won’t work for me
I agree. Waiting to see where it truly mounts when the adapter plate comes in. Hoping the 4-6 week lead time is just them shooting high and it’s quicker!its probably easier to cut out that rack that is blocking the intake than to try to redo that rear tube.
Did you order it from Kennedy? Check with weddle or pacific customs. They might have them in stock.I agree. Waiting to see where it truly mounts when the adapter plate comes in. Hoping the 4-6 week lead time is just them shooting high and it’s quicker!
