Albins or S5D for New Funco

Why questioning the monster heads, when you suggested them on my build?
It has been some time, but i thing part of it was the Budget, and I thought they had a sale on the F series heads back when we built the motor, so it was less than 1K difference,   When we looked at it i believe, the Boost series heads came out to the same price as what i sold the F series for during the sale,

IF you are going to spend 35k on a transaxle over a 18k transaxle put a Bad azz head on the motor,  you got 710 on your motor,  because it is a Bad azz motor,

The monsters are good heads but the 710's make a statement like a Albins, plus they are made in Detroit in the USA, and have larger water ports for cooling, and it only 2k more for the pair,

At the end of the day I think we made the right choice with the 710's,   Paul's Funco got the 710's and so did Eric, and Matts new build is getting the 710's,

Just depends on what kind of bear you want to be,

At the end of the Day, a monster head is still 90% better than anything out there,   but the F series, makes a statement,  and then if you add the new billet Valve covers,  that is some Bling right there,

would you mind adding a few specifics on the differences? I looked at their website but I couldn't really find a direct comparison.
The 710 have a LS7 intake runner, it also using the LS7 Rocker Arm geometry, Longer valve for more stable valve seat,   and comes with a SB2 Winston cup style valve cover,

The All 7 Series casting are made in the USA, and the Monster heads have provisions for factory heat exhaust manifold heat shields,  that takes up water volume in the Head, the 710s do not have that casted into the head,

Also the 310 are the710 with a LS3 Bolt pattern so you can run a ls3 intake but same head,  the 310 still use LS7 Rocker and the larger valves,

The reason you do not see a Boost Series in the F series heads, because the are boost series out the box and in the design of the head,

The F series is a 290CC runner, Monster is a 286CC

The F series has a Raised Runner  And is a SB2 style Head Geometry,

For the Price most SB2 Heads are around 10K, a lot of head for the Money,  In a Monster style head,  we try to stick to the LS7 Runner and Rocker arm Geometry, just make more power with the LS7 design,  I dont really use the Monster Heads anymore, if we are going to do a Head in the Class we use a Mast Motorsports head or a F series Heads,

I’ll be staying with the Monster Boosted heads on my engine. Builder did say the F710 would give a bit more power at the top end. However, he already has the Monster heads bolted to my build and not worth the hassle to change now and have to replace head gaskets and such. I’ll have more power than I’m gonna use anyway so I’m good. And if I decide I need more power I can always retune and run 110 gas. Or I could upgrade heads in future but I really doubt I will ever need to do that. Both builders quoted the Monster heads as they were quoting for best price on what I asked for and I wasn’t aware of head difference then so I didn’t specify. Again, I’m fine with what I’m getting and I’m certain I will be happy.

Still currently leaning toward the Albins. Just awaiting the firm quote once Grant gets back after dealing with his unfortunate family situation. I have plenty of time so all good.

Really appreciate all the input and suggestions. Thank you all!
