Alaska Cruise

Thanks for all of the inout folks, we appreciate it.

I live in sand diego and work I doors....  I dont own any raingear.  LOL maybe time for a trip to goodwill.

My mom and Step Dad did like 14 cruises to Alaska, they would go every summer for an anniversary trip. I have done four. All the trips were from late June thru early August and the weather is always a crap shoot. Week before no rain our trip rain every day but one or the reverse.  It's alaska and like Dockmaster said take rain gear with you everyplace and just deal with it.
They said the week before was perfect. We we’re getting the remnants of a storm that was in Russia

@Bobalos They sell them in the gift shop on the ship even, just buy one before you hit Glacier bay. Everybody who forgot to pack one will grab one and when they run out they are out.

Been raining in Ketchikan since Sunday afternoon non-stop. 25 mph winds with gusts at 40+. Just another fall day here. One of the Princess cruise ships couldn’t get into the dock due to high winds. I just boarded my flight out. Im sure takeoff will be a bumpy blast.

BTW - you can get inexpensive rain gear that will serve you just fine for a week long trip at WalMart or off Amazon.

You can get a Frogs Toggs jacket/pants set for about $20. They pack down in a small sack and are durable for what they cost.
