I’ve been looking for a project for the last year or so and finally found something to do.

Picked up a 1990 Toyota 4cyl, 4 speed regular cab with a bad motor.

The plan is to install drop spindles and airbags, rear triangulated 4 link, raise the bed floor(no holes, clean look). 17” wheels. Then decide on paint. I want a 90’s style wild looking design.

Found a motor with 13k on a rebuild with LCE parts.

Next was new tank/pump and sending unit. Tank was horrible inside and not cleanable.

Funny, if I need a commuter car, it will be a Ford Maverick somewhat dropped.

My first car I bought (1985) was a 1980 Chevy Luv, dropped on centerlines and Yokohama tires, bought the truck with 12k miles for $2K. Then it got stolen...........that day sucked, 19 yr old, no theft insurance, I was riding a bike a lot after that.

Yeah, i though about getting a Maverick and even the Slate electric truck. Then the Toyota surfaced for a good deal.

That truck brings back memories. My first new truck my senior year was a 1994 and it was $7,777.00.

I like the look of that..

Dirtheadshed (Dave Chappelle) has been doing a lot of mini truck content as well.

Whatever you do, the angled license plate seems a requirement. :)

I miss my 88 mazda B2200 that shaved all around and bagged and then my later 98 S10 bagged on 18's and 20's. The good old days

Sweet ride in the making for sure.

Please keep us posted on the progress. Love seeing these old school builds.

Sweet! Been trying to buy my neighbors 90’s Toyota pickup for years. He’s a retired mailman… pretty sure he will sell it one day. Would have a hard time deciding between a clean street prerunner (total chaos) front end, and tuck some 35’s or the slammed air bag route.

When you’re ready for paint, look up Matt Hutchensen design. He’s out of phoenix now but did crazy lowrider trucks years ago, now mostly does Sandcars.

Retired mailman with a 90s pickup… Filipino dude? If so, he's never selling. :ROFLMAO:
