9/11 Never Forget

I was on 15s merging on i5s and Chris Cantori on 91x said a plane hit one of the towers.  I thought "what idiot hits the WTC?"  Tuned to KOGO till 6am then turned on DSC.  Heard it all as it went down.  Damn, seems like yesterday.  Didn't see a TV till 8pm that night.  Surreal is an understatement. 

 
I remember exactly where I was. We were at work replacing a distribution switch. My Lineman had a cousin that worked in the World Trade Towers and was stressing about her. He was on the phone calling whoever he could to check on her. It took a while but he found out she was safe. We didn't do anything that day but just listen to the radio as it unfolded. 

It was surreal that day and for a few days afterward. Everyone was shocked and quiet. No planes in the skies. Just a weird feeling for quite a while.

I agree 9/11 should be a National Holiday. If you ask most of the country what Juneteenth is about you would probably just get a blank stare back, they just know they get the day off.

 
I remember every detail of that day for sure, a lot of walking around the house numb, and I actually think I spent quit amount of time on this site as well.

My community the last three years as been putting on this remembrance for 9-11, guest speakers, prayers, and we light these lights at dark.  And I got to meet the best Sheriff in town.........Love where I live...........

What I also remember is on 9-12. 9-13, 9-14 and so on, we were united as a country, we didn't care about your skin, race, or political affiliation, we were all in this together.  I miss this.

While there are those of us who never forget, America as a whole has forgot.

As Nikal said...no 9/11 holiday but hey...June-teenieth is.  And let's not forget...it was just "some people that did something..." - Rep Omar, D MN  And people still keep voting for her.

This day always makes me bitter.  The number part-time American honoring this day gets smaller and smaller every year.  They don't really even teach about it in school anymore.

 
I was driving on my way to work when the first plane hit the tower. When I got to work, nobody was working, they were all watching it on TV in the conference room and someone filled me in. I was watching on TV when the 2nd plane hit.

All of the techs and supervisors were former sub electronic techs, the support personnel were civilians. We were all discussing an immediate nuke attack on whichever country sponsored the attack, but one guy wasn't in favor of frying hundreds of thousands innocent civilians. The rest of us pointed out that they attacked civilians, so we didn't care what the rest of the world thought if we also targeted civilians. Emotions were running high at the time.

Now, I feel the CIA should have tracked down every terrorist involved and all of their friends and relatives. Then every yr on this date, wipe out another 10 or 20 of them and deny any culpability. That's how the Mossad would do it and I really like how they handle enemies of their state.

Most people in this country have already forgotten about Hunter Biden's laptop, much less the horrific attack from 21 yrs ago. Never Forget! 

 
Some idiot politician included the scumbag terrorists in the victim count when she did her Instagram remembrance post yesterday. Disgusting.
