9/11 Never Forget

21 years, how time has flown by. Do you remember where you were? I was staying at my Dad's on Lido Island in Newport Beach, CA (going through my divorce) and my sister who was in Ohio at the time called us. We're sitting there in this gorgeous place on the water and watched the 2nd plane hit the tower. My Step-Mom was in Hawaii and would be stuck there for a week or so. It was very surreal. 

I told my Dad, 'I'll bet they carried out the attack with pocket knives' as I knew you could carry them on a plane at that time. As we know now it was box cutters, same thing. Since then I've correctly predicted terrorists using large vehicles to mow people down. 

I think there's another obvious threat and that would be large gas tanker trucks. How hard would it be for a terrorist to subdue or kill the driver and drive the rig into a populated area, having pulled a valve and toss a flare out the window? Like a HS football game/stadium or other populated gathering. Also, I think about large scale water supply contamination (poison) scenarios.

One day (after this happens) all large tanker trucks will have armed security like Loomis or something. I even am reluctant to post my theory as I don't want to spread 'ideas' to the next whack job.

Thoughts and prayer to all those effected by this tragic day.

I remember, can not believe it was 21 years already, i do feel that people are forgetting, it should have been a day that the country was closed, this single moment in life changed how we travel forever,  I remember watching this as it unfolded, was shocking to say the least.

I was at work, so was my wife at her federal building in DTLA and she was 2 months pregnant with our first.

Scary day. Co-workers of mine had family in the vicinity and those live cell phone calls were hard to witness.

 
We were working at the Fed Ex facility DFW Airport. Got kicked off the property immediately. Shut all the doors down. Total Surreal moment. We live just north of DFW INT Airport. It was weird not seeing any planes in the air. Peace

If there should ever be a new Federal Holiday this should be it. Not some Juneteenth!

Watching the History Channel show the collapse of the WTC's. So depressing. And pisses me off! Peace

 
left work early that day to work on a truck for a company i was trying to call him on a cell phone and couldn't get the phones to work. ON my way home i was in Highlands NJ going over the bridge could see crazy amounts of smoke rising from the city and put the radio on and learned about the attack. when i got home put the tv on and started watching and the second plane went into the other tower. then i went up to the golf course next to my house which has a good view of NYC and just watched for a while. a lot of people were up there trying to get a hold of friends and family.  it was crazy how bad the phones failed took the rest of the day to get ahold of a friend that worked for the city to make sure he was alright.  something going on in newark airport today with a suspicious package delayed and canceled a bunch of flights. 

 
I was at work here in SD, one of the ladies who has a bunch of family in NY was crying and almost hysterical.  I had no idea what was going g on.  I went back to my office and searched online to see what was going on.  

I distinctly remember how slow our internet connection got.  Simple searches took minutes and there was no chance of streaming...

I was on airport property unloading a scraper and as soon as it was unloaded was promptly escorted off an told not to come back with no explanation. Called my wife to find out what was going on and found out it was a bad day. Do not forget
