You guys made me think!!

Around a dozen Fords. Mostly Mustangs and trucks. My first car after about 3 street bikes was a 64 1/2 Mustang Fastback 289 HiPo 4 speed. Also had a Pinto and a Shelby Cobra replica. 
About 6 Chevys including a new Camaro IROC Z28. 
A half dozen VWs for fun. Meyer’s Manx and a CA street legal sand rail in the bunch. 
Dodge truck, Olds and Toyota wagons. 
Plus one Honda Element, aka “The Getter”, that my son now drives, about 250k miles with no leaks or oil burn. One of the reasons I bought a Honda Talon. 

 
Ford Guy here for all my personal vehicles. B ought Chevy's and Internationals for work trucks. Never a GMC or Dodge. Out on the Japaneese stuff. Except for 2 wheel off road vehicles. Would love to own an Aston Martin for some reason. Those look badass. Peace

Yes, I'm definitely a Ford guy. The new f150 has exceeded my expectations in every way.

I grew up a GM guy because my dad said so.. My career with Honda steered me a different direction.

I currently have 3 GM vehicles, 2 Jeeps, and a Honda, well 2 if you count my TRX.

If I had to own one, and only one.  Honda.  No seconds guesses, not for a second.

While my family members may own many different makes among them, nearly all have a Honda in the fleet..
The Japanese not only make things reliable, they make them non-fussy to work on.  Generally no special tools, most of the fasteners on a component are the same size so no need to get other tools or keep track of where they went (just no spares), etc.  Like this exhaust manifold:

The primaries raise up to give clearance to a deep socket on an extension, with reliefs cast in to the bottom to allow room for the necessary deep socket.  No need to spend hours with a combination wrench.  The Germans would've just made you buy another tool just for this job (after you've removed parts of the interior to even gain access).

When I was a contractor I bought Ford trucks because the bodies on the Chevy and Dodge trucks didn't hold up, I raced B/gas and always used small block Chevy's so I always said pull your Chevy powered race car to the track with a Ford truck. I bought a Toyota truck once to save gas and what a pile of junk, got rid of it quick. I have had all brands of cars over the years as I would buy used cars at a good deal, fix them and sell them. I had a Ford E-350 4X4 duly to tow my trailer to the dunes and loved it. I also had a Ford van I converted to a duly to tow my trailer. I have a H3 Hummer now and I love it. DON~~~
