2023 Corvette Z06

Beautiful cars, but hopefully they liven the handling up a little as well on the Z, but the big motor might help with that as it is.  Either way, while grip was very impressive, it wasn't lively at the helm, just kind of "yeah, okay, here you go".

I have a C8 on order since Nov last year. Should get an allocation next month, fingers crossed.

The Z06 is an awesome car and speculation is the base will start in about the $85k - $89k range for the base model. That's a lot of car for that price. The wait to get one will probably be long, people have been on wait list for a while now to get one. They will be manufacturing about 30k of these a year when production starts in '22.

I really hope these sell around MSRP a year or two after launch, I think I'd definitely be buying one if so (gotta re-earn my screen name, I suppose).

Bet you will never get one at msrp!

They said that about the C5 Z06, C6 Z06 and ZR1 and the C7 Z06 too - but all of them ended up available well under MSRP.  I don't know if the C4 or C7 ZR1s ever dropped below MSRP though. I guess time will tell.

I just picked my C8 convertible up. I had to pay 15,000 over MSRP and still had to wait six months. Had to find one already allocated to a dealership. Had to drive 300 miles to get it. When I first started looking they told me 18-24 months to receive. Was supposed to be a 2021 ended up getting a 2022. After talking with the GM of dealership He said some dealerships still have not even received a C8 yet. He said for 2022 they are allocating at least one to each dealership For this reason.

Yeah, I mean we're in Biden/Dem-created unprecedented times.  Either, things are going to get better across the board WRT manufacturing because the US is going to find a way to oust the Dems even though they now cheat every election, or a Z06 will be the least of my worries.

there's a place in texas that sells them at msrp. my buddy bought one there last yr, forgot he even ordered it, they called 2 weeks ago and said hey your cars in. he said my cars are out front lol. no sir your corvette, shipped to his house by next day. gave straight msrp for it, black with red interior, all options, has 33 miles on it now lol.

thinking about ordering another from them. I'd have to find the name, can't remember it now.

There are a lot of dealers selling C8's and Z06's when they come out at MSRP. The 3 big dealers are all on the east coast and they all sell at MSRP. You can order through them and have it delivered to a dealer near you. There is usually a charge of $500 to $800 for a courtesy delivery.

I ordered from Criswell in Maryland, the 3rd largest. If I had ordered from Mcmulkin or Ciocca, both on the east coast, I would have had the car by now. Live and learn. My intent was to fly back and road trip it home, but it looks like I will have a courtesy delivery since I will be taking delivery in the middle of winter.

I misspoke earlier about the probable number of Z06's being built. It's not 30k but likely to be 30% of all C8's built might be Z06's. There will probably be around 30k+ C8's built this year. So the Z06's will be hard to get. The waiting list at the big three for the Z06's is already long. Your best bet for getting one sooner than 2 or 3 years is finding a small dealer that has allocations or pay above MSRP which could be a $50k premium.
