Well last Friday was exciting. The Wilwood brakes were squealing front and rear like a stuck pig. So they sent me the little rubber coated backing plates. Was able to pull the rears off without unbolting the wheels. Unbolted the front wheels without completely removing them and was able to get those done. Anyway was test driving the truck around the block with a little over 300 miles on the truck now. And some wiring burned up inside the cab and filled it full of smoke. I do a panic stop shut off the key and the main power to the whole truck. Ready to grab my fire extinguisher. Well like a dummy I had left the bolt out of the big main fuse block bulkhead plug. And somehow that had backed out and I don't remember exactly what Spencer said but created a short and burned one wire up. All fixed now. Built this shield so that hot air from the radiator can't hit the engine and circulate back up under and draw back through the radiator again. Yet to be seen if I will have to build another shield to direct air after it goes through the grill along the cradle and up into the radiator. The underdash vintage Air unit was new and purchased 5 years ago. Of course par for the course on this whole project the blower motor is not working on that new unit. And guaranteed vintage Air has had three updates since then. So we need to do a little more work on that. Also been working on my little blocks for transmission and engine oil temperature. Trans is installed and we need to weld three bungs into the engine oil block. Those temp gauges are both on the dash to monitor. Should have it back at 67th and Bell Saturday night.
They will both have plenty of flow.Cool sensor blocks.
You're not worried about the fittings restricting the flow at all?![]()
