Is the radiator overflow tank needed?

I am currently in the middle of a rail remodel and having a tough time with packaging. The radiator is mounted high on the x brace above the engine. I can mount the overflow tank down low by the mid rail on the opposing side of the radiator cap. The overflow tank will be 2-3' below the cap and...

    Heat exchanger help

The fuel tank is right up the ass of the heat exchanger for air flow. The card board tank is calculating to just over 20 gallons. I was shooting for 22 gallons.

2D to PBS Sequential S4 upgrade on a 2006 Desert Dynamics

You are corrrect, those cables are from Kartek. What's interesting is this car had a grey push pull throttle cable fail afterless than 1 season last year. However the cable came directly from Control Cables in Santa Fe Spring. They replaced it but couldn't explain or diagnose the reason for the...

    Fuel gauge in Sandrail

On my current project, we are throwing around the idea of installing a fuel gauge in the car. Tank will be customer built and will be a rectangle shape, roughly 20 gallons and 8" deep. What's the consensus, is it worth putting a gas gauge in the car or is it a waste of time and something you...

    Amplified performamce mid engine project

I am with Fog, hood and windshield will drastically decrease air flow over the radiator. I took my windshield off my 2 seate. My main issue was the smell of exhaust, smell of gas, engine blow by fumes and I would get a huge wave of hot air that would hit the back of my neck and head from the...

Shoutout to Jeff @ Whips and Shyt

Full disclosure after looking at my pics. I installed the bolt and the 3/8 coupling nut on the reverse shifter arm. i was acting like I was 12 years old and banging the main shifter like I was ripping a big bowl in third gear and the reverse arm kept falling backwards so I had to do a quick dune...

Shoutout to Jeff @ Whips and Shyt

Wanted to give a shoutout to Jeff at Whips and Shyt. I don’t know him personally — I may have introduced myself to him years ago at the Sand Sports Show — but I’ve talked with him many times over the phone over the years and have used his whips on my last three cars. On my most recent whip, I...

2D to PBS Sequential S4 upgrade on a 2006 Desert Dynamics

As you can see in the last pic, the face of the trailing arm tabs have severe wear. The outer tab I am going to cut off and replace with a new tab. The inner tab is integrated to the torsion housing and the 1.5" tube running below. My game plan is to grind down the high spots on the face then JB...
