    RV Storage (current value/cost) discussion

Where is it? I've been looking all over southern california for my 35' fifth wheel. I paid $370/month in newport for a few months, then moved it to Irvine and now pay $290/month. There's $200 options further inland, but I like to keep it a bit closer to my house.

    Which CV grease to use?

Ah yes, this argument again. Love this one. I personally found Nacho Cheese worked the best this past season. At $6 a gallon, you really can't beat it

    Tariffs

Like I said, I've chatted with facilities across the US. Pricing does not get better than what I've built here. Sure some tax benefits elsewhere but not enough to offset the entirety of my operational costs and uprooting. I'm not a big operation. Sure if I had a business that was 50+ employees...

    Tariffs

I've had conversations with factories and facilities from here to Florida, in every nook and cranny of the US. It's just not possible. Yes I can raise my prices, but guess who gets to feel that? The customer... So I either work with overseas manufacturing, or close my doors and lay my employees off.

    Tariffs

Here's an interesting take that I think most overlook. Because manufacturing overseas got cheap, it opened up OPPORTUNITY for stateside men and women to create their own business that employ people. A good example is my business. I make/sell cocktail mixers, wearable goods, and vacation goods. I...

    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

I personally looked at a suspension seat that was involved in a crash recently, in a buggy. The seat bent around the rear harness bar. I'm not one for speculation, but I would have to imagine that a hard shell seat would not have done that.

    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

I want to be clear, I am not a proponent of more laws. I'm a proponent of people making the right decisions in their vehicles. I think there is an overwhelming amount of people in our sport who blissfully unaware that the vehicle they are driving can kill them if they don't use the right safety...

    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

Yea there's still a ton of suspension seats out there. They were fantastic upgrades when they came out. But as speeds increase, so does the necessary protection IMO. It's my opinion that no car that can do over 50mph should have suspension seats, many will disagree. The sheer force of an extreme...

    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

Initially was going to post this in Sandrail Tech but this is applicable to all offroad, so general chat it is. I've harped on several threads about the importance of the correct seats and harnesses. I have been meaning to do a write up on it but kept forgetting, but in light of a severe crash...

Lessons Learned from a Life-Threatening Accident

Here's another one to add in. - Turn on find my friends with your group. That way if anyone splits up, you can see where they are. Or use a personal beacon and have someone monitor it. This is specifically helpful if you or your friends ride solo or with small groups. When cell service drops...

Lessons Learned from a Life-Threatening Accident

On Saturday (same day as the crash) Reece and I had an incident earlier in the day where we hit an extremely hard bottom that rocked me pretty hard. I had my helmet and HANS on. The weight of the helmet definitely tweaked my neck, but not severely. If you were in a violent crash, the helmet...

Lessons Learned from a Life-Threatening Accident

I will post a separate thread about this, but I've harped on it several times on this site in other threads. Correct belts and seats are IMPERATIVE. Luckily he had the correct 5 point belts on, but the suspension seats in the car were not designed to take an impact of that size. I've been...

    Shocks... Cerakote Vs. Powdercoat

I did steel it on my last car as well. Full sand and then acetone to clean them. They held pretty well after 3 seasons. But did need some touch ups
