So even if this is a hardened coat hanger, it's not the right way to fix your brakes...

Don't hang clothes with brake parts and don't fix brakes with clothes hangers!

Just so there's no confusion, this repair did not affect the braking ability, this is for an adjuster. The pin for the actual braking was just fine. But this does catch your eye and make an inspector go Hmmmmm....
