I bought one for a civic and sent it off to AEM to have it converted for J series.
Now that AEM is no longer doing repairs you can reach out to FF CHIPS and see if they can do the modification as they special in AEM repairs and were a direct recommendation from them.

all the googling I have done looking for one or trying to find a work around and I never once came across ff chip.
