I have the oretry standard 2 car garage with the roll up segmented door. If it matters it's the 2 sided door with the insulation in it.

The wheels on the door have squeeked since day 1. I've tried some stuff and a light oil like WD40 works for a bit but runs out. I've also tried a spray lithium and that just made a mess... Anyone have any suggestions on what works well on this??

I have the standard genie mach force screw opener. The screw doesn't have any grease on it any more. It looked like rwfular old bearing grease. Is that OK to use??

Thanks
Bob

I’m sure you know it, but be careful fucking with anything garage door related, even replacing wheels.

I’ve had decent luck with dry lube for mine. No clue if it’s the best or not.

I use silicon spray on all the joint brackets, wheels, and springs. It works well for me, my garage door is very quiet.
Also no grease or oil dripping or attracting dust/dirt.
There is a brand that's labelled specifically for garage doors but I'm sure any silicon spray would work.

This is the hot setup.

Just did the same to mine. 20 minute job. No more squeakity-squack, it's dead silent now.
Search Youtube for "how to" vids. Easy peasy.
