Well it’s only fitting that I’m a die hard Ford guy and work for Ford, so I have to put a Ford motor in my Funco haha.

Welcome to the new project…

The car currently has an N/A 6-cylinder Subaru motor.

I’d been thinking about this idea for a couple weeks. Tried finding more info on the setup and ended up running into someone selling the complete package out of an SCU.

Super cool motors !!!
I was looking at that motor . Price and hp cant be beat
Congrats
Thanks, really excited. Have a few guys here that are familiar with those motors. I'm hearing this package makes 500+ at the wheels. Not sure if I believe that but I'd be really happy with 400-450 at the wheels.

It’s been so long ago. Don was getting into these motors. Said stock was good for 20psi. But had a few blow up. Then He had pistons made and bought rods and told me to put it together. I think I sourced head studs other than that it was stock. No porting no cams. I made fuel rails for it and made the one wire harness and ecu I sold at the time. Made great power as I recall really never saw it since then. Never have done one since.

Terrible low end power in that motor we had the scu in are camp for a couple years

Thanks for the info. We'll se how it goes, couldn't pass up the package for the price. The owner told me it was running on race fuel. Do you think it would take much to tune it for e85? Once I get it together, I might have to bring it down to you for a dyno session.

Bingo. Don picked and sourced the turbo’s and they were way too big. Plus at that time the ecu I used had no provision for the cam advance
That's what I figured. Smaller turbo and convert to e85. Then I think it will be a great package.

You can still tune the Singer ecu correct?
