Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand NEEEWWWWW!!!!

What's funny is all the comments on how he's the "ultimate underdog"...

Maybe the odds makers are just wrong.

I don’t think Strickland did enough to beat the champ. I don’t feel he won that last round either.

Old rules, yeah. New scoring, I think the fight was an absolute toss up on who won.

How I had it:

Round 1 was a 10/9 for Chimaev
Round 2 was 10/8 or 10/9 for Sean since he wobbled Chimaev pretty hard to cause that weird second takedown
Round 3 was 10/9 for Sean
Round 4 was 10/9 for Chimaev
Round 5 was 10/9 for Sean

I think the 5th was a coin toss. The takedown at the beginning was important, but he did nothing with it and caused no damage.

The rest of the rounds had pretty clear winners. 4 was slightly for Sean until that takedown with a minute to go.

I think Strickland just barely got round 3. And Chimaev wore out Strickland in round 4 and I felt won round 5. And with him being the champ I figured he held on. I think there was a little home cooking for entertainment purposes. Strickland is a fan favorite amongst the UFC fan base.

Yeah. And Chimaev absolutely kills any excitement in a bout. This was actually his most entertaining match because he couldn't just hug Strickland for 25 minutes minus 12 seconds to start each round...

Because if this fight turned out like DDP's, I wasn't watching another Middleweight bout until he quit. Controlling someone without any desire to get the finish is boring.
