Okay, now you're just Drunk posting...

.
There is NO WAY any Chevy anything (excluding the Vette) is "nicer" than ANY Honda or Toyota... especially a Volt.
My Civic is 10x nicer than any version of that car it could dream to be. Toss in a 2024 Camry or 2020 Accord with a 6 speed transmission and the 2.0 Turbo and there's not even a comparison. The Accord I mention is a detuned version of a Civic Type R... no Chevy Econobox is going to even come close in any category, except mileage - which it was designed to excel at.
What Camry did you own, a 1997 LE? That would be about the only way this would have any traction at all...
Normally I would agree with you 1000 percent! Everyone knows I have a Huge distaste for anything GM!
But...
I bought it from a board member on RDP, who is also a good friend of mine. He bought it brand new, and since he's a gear head like you and me, he took impeccable care of the thing.
I needed something affordable, and that got Good milage, to buy for my daughter starting college.
That was a Long time ago now! Maybe six years? And we haven't done shit to that car. Had 100k when I bought it. I think it has 170k now. It really is a kick ass commuter car.
Why does it drive so nice??
Unlike the Jetta TDI I had, and the Camery I had, and every Honda I've been in...
It's Loaded with batteries, it's HEAVY! It has the ride quality of a Much bigger car. It's well insulated, and has minimal road noise. The TDI, even though it was a 50mpg car, drove me Nuts with the fucking road noise!!! Even good Michelins didn't help one bit.
I put Lexus LS400 wheels and tires on the Camery, and it still felt like a tin can. All small cars do. It's the nature of the beast. Small and quiet do NOT go together. Because of the weight of the Volt, it's quiet. I would imagine any battery powered car is the same?
Another friend and board member at RDP was a marketing/advertising guy for Lexus. He has to do Deep dives into All the competition. His take? The Volt had the most fucked up marketing EVER by GM. (No surprise there) He also felt it was the most underrated car ever!
So after driving it for 5-6 years of trouble free miles, I have to agree with him.
The Chevrolet Volt remains one of the best plug-in hybrids on the market, with impressive all-electric range and everyday practicality.
