He got ahold of the guy he bought it from and took it to RP, apparently Bob remembered the bike and looking at it. It skipped time... chain, tensioner, valves, top end kit... doesn't look like the guy he bought it from maintained it like he said he did. Tough pill for a 22yo on a budget.
