Gas Tank Sludge

What's the best method to remove about a near cup of sludge (gum, varnish, muck) in an ATV Gas Tank? Quad was ran dry, but this stuff collected at the very bottom by the petcock fuel intakes inside the tank. Plastic tank, so inside is otherwise clean, no rust.

Seafoam good enough to get that crap out by running it or go the route of remove tank and do the vinegar/water, etc. treatment?

I'm guessing the fuel lines and carb will have some of the same sitting in them and will need same or the seafoam should be good enough to get it going, run it clean?

if you can pull it off the quad, i would toss a handfull of 3/8" nuts in here and shake it around with some fresh fuel. And dump it on the neighbors yard.

That's what I did on my Z400 recently. What a freaking pain!!!

Couldn't find my pin drill set, to clean everything out in the carb...

So I ended up getting a new one from King Bolt, to the tune of FIFTY BUCKS!!!

Ran like new when I got done with it though. Rob and I have plans to do Pastor's quad pretty soon.

All of that sludge was dissolved in gasoline. More will fix it.
