I will be there. My old Bike Mechanic (David Kreisher) is the guy that pushes this show the hardest and it's a few miles from home. Hopefully we can meet up!The Vista Optimist Club has a car show coming up, so I'm cutting some metal for raffle donations. Not big ticket items, but sometimes people are happy to just win something. I won some sweet Baja Design lights there last year. Every summer when car show season shows up I'm reminded of how my 1950 Willys Truck is still parked on the side of the garage, not getting worked on. Oh well, I've got buggy mods to do this summer.
I was trying to come up with a mechanic's themed charcoal starter; thinking some car guys might like it. But the dang thing is just too heavy to be practical, so probably going to scrap it. Not every product is a home run, haha.
I was up in Mammoth with my daughter and our group of friends. I haven't been up there in a few years - forgot how beautiful it is. But holy crap is it dusty - very silty
Headed up tomorrow morning.
Where did you guys stay up there?![]()
The weather is perfect!! Shorts and T-shirt during the day, pants and a sweater at night.
We stayed off of Glass Creek road. It's a free dry campground, out houses are the cleanest I've ever seen. Lots of riding you can do straight out of camp without having to trailer. Tons of spots, I think we had 6 or 7 RV's/trailers
Haha. Small world. Yeah, David is a buddy of mine from scouts/Jeeping/duning.I will be there. My old Bike Mechanic (David Kreisher) is the guy that pushes this show the hardest and it's a few miles from home. Hopefully we can meet up!
My Father In Law would LOVE that Charcoal Starter, by the way.![]()
He used to work on my ATC 250R back in the early 2000's... was the only one that had that thing running perfect. I met him through Nathan Hall of SIC Riders (apparently Nathan stole that from him) and Greengo (on here) used to be Nathan's roommate.Haha. Small world. Yeah, David is a buddy of mine from scouts/Jeeping/duning.
If your father-in-law can prove he can lift it without spilling hot coals on himself he can have it for $20.
That just covers my cost of the handle which I was going to re-use on a 2.0 attempt.
