I bought a fire supression system and would like some opinions on where to mount the tank in a 2 seat Sandlimo Squirt. I don't have room to mount it behind the seats, but do have the extra long activation cable so anywhere else is doable.

Horizontal in line with the car on an engine cage bar?
At an angle next to a bypass shock?
In front of the passenger foot space ( I would like to leave that open to relocate the battery )?
Relocate battery and electrical from behind a seat and mount the tank there ( least favorite as I would like the ability to remove the tank if it gets freezing overnight )?
Thanks

I just finished my 2nd fire suppression system in my buggy 20 minutes ago. I have a 4 litre AFFF cable activated system for the engine/fuel/turbo area. I just added a 2.5 litre AFFF cable activated system for the driver/passenger. 4 litre bottle is mounted between/behind the seats-vertical. I made the aluminum mount that attaches it to the seatbelt crossbars. I made a horizontal (30 degrees) aluminum mount for the cockpit system that is mounted to the floor, in front of the passenger. And yes, the both have "torpedo protection" mounting. 2 nozzles in the front, and 4 in the engine area. I do not know how this compares to your buggy, though. (I hope my pics go through. I never know how to do this)IMG_20250621_170826.jpgIMG_20250621_170813.jpgIMG_20250621_170755.jpgIMG_20250615_152040.jpgIMG_20250615_152022.jpgIMG_20250613_145113.jpgIMG_20240410_205937.jpgIMG_20240410_200327.jpg

Good pictures! Thank you.

I put mine at the very front of the passenger floorboard. Don’t have any pics unfortunately

Stupid question but I am curious. On the safety pin in this bottle... Do you just pull the pin when your using the car and put it back in when your not???
Any chance of this setup going off on a hard hit or bumps with the handle just floating so to speak?

My pull handle has a pin setup like that.

Not a stupid question. Yes, I can pull pin when car is being used, and re-insert after. I will only re-insert the pin during transport probably. If you notice the clip between the two levers, it is basically spring loaded to keep them spread apart, but appear to hold them together once activated. I hope I am saying that correctly.
