They no longer support the brass sleeve and special VW bearing. Bought one from Weddle that was a welded carrier that then can use a cheaper more readily available bearing. Then the next time it will be cheap to just slide on another new one

As John said above, you only need to purchase the "Adapter" once, then replace the bearing as needed.

yeah and for $20 a bearing i will replace it every time the motor comes outYou now need these 2 parts:
