Thanks but I should have mentioned it is for 12 volts automotive wiring kind. Does not have to be weatherproof but it would be a big plus. Are we talking about 220-240 here?

Correct, I am running 8 gauge stranded. Thanks for the trolling motor plug idea!Hmmmmm...
40 amps is gonna need 8 gauge wire, yeah?
F that. When I can get 8 pieces (4 total connections) for less than entry, fuel, and Taco Bell....you aren't allowed to eat a respectable meal when you've been scrubbing around the JY. Rules are rules.Head to the junkyard and hackfuck the connector off of a high power radiator fan.![]()

Deutsch DTHD Series
Lol
Only problem I have with those is they’re not weather tight.
Semi Asian dudes... always exceeding the given specs.Lol

I just hate non-weather tight connections on sand shit. That dust rusts everything when it turns to mud.For most applications they are used in, they don't need to be. The terminals are tin coated typically. If there is some type of connection issue, simply unplugging will wipe the terminal contact areas clean. No special crimpers required either.
When it comes to the Deutsch HD connectors, I prefer the aluminum housing units over the plastic.
Also, for simplicity's sake, you can get gaskets that fit 10ga wire for a typical Weather Pack connector.
