Thanks but I should have mentioned it is for 12 volts automotive wiring kind. Does not have to be weatherproof but it would be a big plus.

I Googled 8 gauge wire plug, and it showed me all kinds of Trolling Motor wire plugs. Marine, water proof plugs!

The Anderson type plugs GM posted above are great and cheap. Come in all sorts of sizes.

One nice thing is that there isn't a ""male' and "female". They are the same.

The "Honda/Toyota" of 12v connectors is Anderson. Heavily used in the Car Audio industry for high powered setups that require regular servicing.

I'm running one of these from my trailer to the motorhome for solar.
Its has to twist to disconnect and I like it better than the ones mentioned above.

I like to use the ec3 or an xt-90 for higher amperage smaller stuff you aren't worried about being water proof.

for heavier duty stuff HDP line from Deutsch has a few options.

Only problem I have with those is they’re not weather tight.

For most applications they are used in, they don't need to be. The terminals are tin coated typically. If there is some type of connection issue, simply unplugging will wipe the terminal contact areas clean. No special crimpers required either.

When it comes to the Deutsch HD connectors, I prefer the aluminum housing units over the plastic.

Also, for simplicity's sake, you can get gaskets that fit 10ga wire for a typical Weather Pack connector.

I just hate non-weather tight connections on sand shit. That dust rusts everything when it turns to mud.
