They have a little kite looking thing that hangs off the back of them. We saw them taking off in our wash on our last trip.

They look really cool but when they decide to buzz your trailer at first light over and over, they are annoying as kid in a kiddie track, minus the dust.

i'd be scared to death the whole damn time lol.

WHOA - Had a deja-vu moment. Yore not wearing OP Cord board shorts and Magnum PI Mustache are you?

I had never had any interest in them until I saw this video.. now I’m wondering if this is something I should look into and possibly buy! Looks like a ton of fun

Anyone have any information on these paraglider setups?

They fly around Johnsons Landing at the Salton Sea and on large weekends for a few $ you can go on a tandem flight. There is a regular there that gives lessons. They even have a runway.

Not trying to talk you out of the interest at all. I had briefly considered buying a used motor and wing. It seems like you need to go all in and practice practice practice. Like any proper flight training. I decided I didn't have the desire to spend so much time on what was essentially a whim so I live vicariously through youtube.

I was thinking this was something easy to get into.. it sounds like it’s not so easy.

They fall under FAA rules for ultralight so no license needed. Likely flying after a few days of training. I've never done a powered parachute but do have quite a bit of skydives and canopy flight is fairly easy to learn.
