Let me start by saving this from all the Ghay Dudes for Harris responses... Yes...I know they were here first. Yes, I know they are just doing what they do. Yes, I understand it's my job to keep my wife's pets safe. And whatever condescending ghay things you people come up with...

We have a coyote that has been stalking our house for a while now. I do my best to scare it off and deter it. I have motion lights, I don't have food outside, I run at it if I see it and I put ammonia down all around the outside and around the house. We had a week away from home too but now the coyote is back.

I've also called animal control that said they don't handle this and to call Fish and Game...I did. They don't handle it either. You have to contract a "pest removal" and pay for it yourself. And No...you can't shoot it because that's felony firearm discharge within city limits. But...this is a great excuse to start my suppressor purchases.

So...anyone have any additional ideas or things they have tried or that worked?

Pellet gun. My friend has one that will drop a coyote with a well placed shot. I forgot the brand, but it shoots a 22 sized pellet, and is crazy accurate

I got a pellet gun with a scope that is basically the same caliber as a 22.. it’s crazy accurate and quiet if ya want to borrow it. Headshot it would kill it.. hind quarter shot it most likely won’t ever come back.
