This is a random question, but im routing brake lines on my sandcar. How many guys are running a proportioning valve on their setup and if so where did you plumb it in.
 
i dont have one but i believe it goes relatively close to brake caliper

that is a residual valve.

Proportioning valves typically go near the Master. I have not seen any sand cars with one.
 
I had a sand car that had one. It was running front and rear disc brakes off of one master cylinder, so the proportioning valve was used (near the master ) on the line to the front brakes. A better set up would be to have two master cylinders for redundancy. If you lose a brake line or caliper you'd still have brakes. I've had it happen.
