We get them sometimes in areas of san diego one from somewhat recent memory touched down in santee not far from mirage jimco and stewart race works, ironically it took out a few trailers in a trailer park.

Got woken up by all of the emergency alerts at 1:30 AM when I was still in Ventura a few years back with tornado alerts. I've never seen harder rain come down in my life, even through many Arizona monsoon's.
