Which CV grease to use?

This is what happens when you use Swepco and then a certain company designs a shitty long travel kit. Then denies it their problem.

@Angusbeef , I think the answers to your question are going to be just like the grease & everyone would be different.

IMO, none goes in the boot. grease the joint & move on.
 
I have been using MOLY PARAGON 3000 with success. Basically the same properties as Certified. $14.5 a tube when you buy a case
 
I have used Cat Desert Gold for years and never had an issue.
However, I don’t think it’s available anymore.
When I run out of the few tubes that I have left…..?????

But i can get down to $17.50 a Tube for Certified
I really love the stuff, everyone that has purchased it has stuck with it, super tacky and does not dry out,

If Some ones needs Certified DM me and will get some to you,
 
I have been running the Cat Desert Gold for 3 years now with no issues at like $5/tube at my local Cat dealer. I know it's not the same as it used to be. 930's chromoly.

Used to use Neo but man that shit is expensive.

I always run swepco 101. No mix. Always works great. Tried the 164 for 1 season with bad results. Back to straight 101.
 
I have a bunch of these little packets it says for Ultra Torque power and makes you go fastener! IMG_6856.jpeg
 
I will never understand why people with $100k sandrails feel it necessary to find the cheapest CV grease, to use at most, once a year. If whatever you are using works for you, great. But why is price important? We are talking a few dollars here. Swepco is $18.99 per tube and BelRay is $56.99 per tube. Less than a tube of Swepco and about 1/3 tube of BelRay is enough to do a full set of 934 CVs.

Ah yes, this argument again. Love this one.

I personally found Nacho Cheese worked the best this past season. At $6 a gallon, you really can't beat it
