I think Deegan is pretty funny, and I'm a fan... kid has some crazy speed. Was the move necessary? no... but at the same time, you cannot leave the door open. Davies learned that lesson...... everyone at the 450's knows

anyone remember Zach Osborn on savatgy?
anyone remember Tomac trying to take out Dungy in the final round?

It's part of racing when it comes to championships

and for the record... I am more of a Roczen and Sexton fan where they race straight up on speed.... but that doesn't always win the race.
 
Deegan didn't need to push his teammate out of the way like that in order to win. I don't think Davies will give him a chance to do it again this weekend in SLC. As far as Deegan moving up to the 450's I am sure Barcia & Anderson plus a few others will let him know that he is a rookie.

But what i don't get it is the AMA already came down on everyone and told them that punting people in SX is NOT ok and will get you docked positions and fined, yet with Douchebag does it, they just put him on notice and fine him????? WTF? Either let it become old motocross where you punt people or not....you can't have it both ways...D bag punted him because he KNEW that was the only way to win.

He may be a winner, but he will NEVER be a Champion.

I get it... but to be clear he still had a solid points lead going into the final round. Davies getting 5th just locked it up 1 round early.

If you watch the lap before the punt... he was being pretty nice to Davies going into the corners, could have easily punted him then if that was his intention... at some point, you have to get aggressive to make a pass, which he did.
 
He had the pass made, could have easily turned under davies and been gone....BUT he decided to punt him, which by the notice the AMA gave EVERYONE already should have been docked at least one position. Again it was doucheboy being doucheboy, that's why the fans booed him and why they will never accept him.
 
It's funny to me how pussified the sport has become if that pass is considered bad. Damon Bradshaw or Chicken would be broke with today's racing standard.
