Spring Tension Tie-Downs

I would think strapping something with suspension straps that already has suspension will allow some extra movement.
I believe it is just the opposite. The spring keeps tension on the straps when the load bounces a bit on its suspension.

Looks sketchy to me as well, but...

All the reviews on Amazon are 5 stars. There are only 60 some reviews, but that's pretty damn impressive nonetheless. 👍🏼

Anyone have much issue with loose straps? Since I’ve started using axle straps and spring clip ends, tied at the wheels, and not crossed, I haven’t had a strap come off. Sometimes they get a little loose, but I always stop at the same spot on my drive out to check straps, tires and wheel bearings.

500lb straps on weird shit? Yeah. Not on the buggy though.

Should be tied at the wheel to prevent the suspension from being much of a factor.

If you strap your car down to the arms or tires, straps will not come loose. I never strap a car to the chassis because as the suspension travels the straps loosen and tighten.

Back in the day, the "Bounce" seemed to degrade
the life span of the shocks. (Class 9 buggy in S.C.O.R.E.)
I rigged up a solid rack to stop the bounce.
Yes, it took more time, but seemed better for the shocks.

I have wheel nets, the adjustable kind that fit just about any tire. I may end up using those but thought they might be a bit of a pain given the minimal clearance between the wheels and trailer sides and wheel wells but we'll see. I also have the Mac's straps with the heavily padded straps that go through the wheels. I don't think those will fit through the 3 piece wheels I got but we'll see. They will also scratch up the wheels if sand is there which is a certainty. I just figured I would try these spring tension straps to see if they work good. It will make it easier to use the tie-down points on the car if they work well. We'll see.

Looking forward to the ride (tow) review. 👍🏼
