Smog now required on older diesel coaches

Something tells me they're going to be rolling it back even more...

I had a mobile guy come out and do the test 2 Mondays ago. My results still have posted to Carb. How long was that taking for anyone else? I’m at 9 days so far.

Just an FYI and update... if you submit the Carb crap , YOU have to call the DMV to make them process it.....if not it will sit in limbo forever... 916-657-8035 they'll call you back. Now I should see it in get this....

2 weeks...... ha when have I heard that before.........
Was this before or after you became compliant on the Carb site?

I just went through all this with my 2011 pusher (w/DEF) all stock. Its a waste of time and a complete money grab. Im located in the IE and use a guy that came to my home

CCB truck/RV Emissions tester Brian Johnson 951-789-9397 good people and can help you navigate the process if needed.

You make a user name and profile on CARBs website (add vehicle) pay the fee then they upload the test results on there end.
My MH blew 0% (complete waste of time) What I dont like about this test, they are required to hold the throttle at 100% for a moment. Knowing diesels dont like to be revved like that hurt me. Ive never pushed my HM like that and yet here its a requirement for the test.

I paid my registration DMVs website and got my tags about 10 days later.

What type of test performed? There are two different types of testing and how they are reported. My smog guy performed a OVI ( Opacity & Visual Inspection ) on my MH and he has to generate a PDF file copy and email to a web address. Test completed 12/10 and didn't get posted to my CARB account until 01/03/25 and shown approved 01/06/25.

Mine was the OVI. So I guess I just need to wait longer. Luckily my reg was due in August. Whoops.

After waiting 2 weeks not posted, talked to my smog guy who stated the electronic computerized test results usually posted in 2 days. he resent my test results. Several days later no posting I contact CARB thru website email. They responded back next day saying its been received and should post in a week. I started to worry as registration was due 01/10/25. My smog guy said CARB notified him the OVI system is changing soon. Great another learning program.

Thanks for the tip. Just fired off an email. I’ll report back when I get some answers.

If your stuff is due, just send in the money...at least your don't get penalties .

Yes send in the registration fee money. At the same time I contacted CARB also called the DMV number listed on this thread. Actually talked to a real person who tried to help and told me to send in the money to avoid late fees. Says DMV regularly checks CARB for compliance updates. I did get my tags about 2 weeks ago.
