Any downside to these? I have had standard crow 5 point belts for the last decade... wife has a very hard time adjusting them. They do loosen up on me a bit throughout the ride (mainly have to pull the shoulder straps down to tighten up throughout a ride.... lap belts stay pretty tight)

I am considering going with the impact pull to tighten belts... looking for any feedback or any downside to having these in a sandcar? Car has jet trim seats with the open slots which should work better w/ a pull to tighten style belt.

Following.

I just ordered JetTrim medium containment seats and then ordered Crow harnesses. I ordered the "pull up to tighten" lap belts over the pull down to tighten lap belts. The shoulder harnesses have the aluminum adjusters which are kind of like a locking device. You pull down on these and they lock in place but are easier to release.

I found that calling them and talking to "Matt" helped.

I just bought the impact setup and they are the best ones that I have had. The stay tight always. Have prp in one of my cars and they are pretty good also with the sternum straps

I put new Simpson (pull-up lap belt) belts, along w/Jettrim extra high containments in my car.
I personally don't like them because I don't have any room to reach in between the seats and side panels to adjust them.
I have to adjust them through the plastic belt socket hole on the seat...which can't be done with someone seating in the seat.

If you talk with Crow, they will ask these questions and send you belts designed to have the adjusters where they can be reached. Crow is good at this and you get what you need.

The belts I got were spec'd out and installed by Alumicraft.
The problem is, is that my car isn't very wide and having plus-1" wider, makes the seat to side panel area tight.
Once I have the seats adjusted, the belts hold awesome.

I figured with the high containment seats, with the slots for them belts would make the pull up to tighten more ideal. Usually with the pull down to tighten you start running out of adjustment.
