Paddle Tire Choice - Stock Honda 3.5 - Small 2 Seat - 2D

Would you ever consider the 10.75 fronts? I'm curious how they would do on a car this size.
Yea, they look and work great. But I snapped a combo spindle with 10.75s. So I would hesitate to go to that size. To each there own. Plenty of guys running a 10.75 with combos

I had a 3.5/2d combo in a sand limo. 8.50 fronts, and extreme 14.50 on the rear. Worked perfectly...Those are no longer available, so I would do 8.50 front and blaster 33 no.1 cut. Anything smaller on the front sucks, and I ran those with combo spindles for years with no problems.

Any pics of shaved 10.75 ?
Here’s a couple I’ve done for Sandcars.
10.75-15 razor blasters are normally 36 lbs. depending on what steering ribs get left and how much gets removed I’ve seen them drop down to 24lbs-28lbs. For reference, the pic shown with 2 center ribs left is right around 25-26 lbs.

since this thread started for a specific car, I might add that since my last comment and recommendation, personally have settled for the 8.50 razor backs up front, they are ideal for this size car. I still haven’t put the 14.50 dune sports on. To be honest, I’m having way too much fun with the 31 Blackbird PROs. They are the perfect in between tire of hook and slide with how I have them cut.
Here’s a Pic for reference (rears are #1 paddle and have the paddles “hater cut” and have been comp cut - 33lbs down to 19lbs per tire). IMG_6431.jpeg

I had a set of Mickey Thompson 33" Baja Pro fronts buffed to smooth, which I absolutely love. The rear tires are the STU Sand Blaster 33 pro, also great. It's a Chenowth Explorer frame, the motor is stock J35A and the trans is a Mendeola 2D. Hope it helps. Cheers!IMG_2036.jpeg

This is a great looking car. Do buffed tires not push really bad in corners? Tons of guys swear by them, but I can’t wrap my head around the physics.

That is more dependent on the car.
The ultimate theory behind the buffed MT is that when you buff the sides and leave the center, it cones the tire. this naturally makes it more of a steer tire but in the least aggressive way. Most guys that have run them (Myself being one) will note that it takes you where you point the wheel, but when you over slide, the front tires dont hook and gives forgiveness. They also look great and have the style a lot of people like.
However.. those tires are very heavy, even after being buffed. I ran them on my Gen 3 Funco. I liked them. I switched to the 8.50 Razorback and had no idea what I was missing! So much lighter on the front end, the tires cut through the bumps rather then bouncing off them, and over steering never was an issue, because of the added control that they provided. I didnt know what I didnt know... until I knew..

Lots of options, and I can honestly say that many are better then the MT..... Just depends on what you want to accomplish.

Thanks! Admittedly, it was more about convenience (I had four MT Baja Pro fronts) and looks. I think HP Habits makes good points about weight and about type of car. For my duning style and on my car, they're perfect. I had them buffed at Rogue, they were awesome to work with, and now I believe they are making/selling their own version.

@MADMANX are they still charging about $150 per tire?

I’ve heard some rumors about some different tire options but haven’t seen any. Do you have any pics to reference what you’re talking about?
