New Kawi 250hp Supercharged SXS

I am thinking new clutches and possibly clutch housing with more airflow to the secondary.
That’s would be a great and huge improvement if Kawasaki goes that far into fixing and making it right. Not really knowing their history and how they fix problems, I don’t know if Kawasaki will go completely back to the drawing board like you & I would hope. Or do they just fix the clutches coming apart, but not address the ultimate problem with belts breaking and not lasting?

It really depends on what is causing the primary clutch to come apart. If it is a design issue then a new primary is coming which I hope results in a new secondary. Kawi wants to get this right and needs to figure it out before they launch the 2 seat version.

Whatever they come up with hopefully they provide it soon.

I assume the 2 problems (assploding clutches and dead belts) are related.

no. The primary clutch explodes, possibly from bad aluminum casting. The secondary is the belt eating issue.
Maybe I assume wrong, LOL.

I thought it could be caused by misalignment to the secondary on a failing clutch. Oh well.

I am not sure they are related. There is something wrong with the way the secondary works that allows for belt slippage and excessive heat.

I spoke to Kawi this morning to see if there is an news on the clutch fix. Nothing yet, but they are working on it. Also documented my file with the blown belts and broken clutch cover which will be addressed when I take my car in once the clutch fix is available.

The person was very apologetic about the situation. Hopefully Kawi has something in the next 30 days.

For you, I hope so as well.

The aftermarket has been churning out the clutch stuff....some of them look fancy billet, really nice.

Those aftermarket clutches looks like nice, but I am not sold on them yet.

I am feeling better about my aftermarket options compared to the Speed UTV retro kit KWI offers with carbon fiber. $13K!!!!!!!!

And owners likely won't even get an apology, like you did from Kawi.

I wonder if Robby is aware he succeeded in creating the best Comedy the off road industry has ever seen?

Just to give a little insight into how good Kawi has been so far. Before Christmas I bought a cover (Kawi accessory) for my ride and it ripped during my trip at Glamis. When I was talking to the Kawi person this morning I mentioned it and she said she would call the dealer I bought it from and take care of it. I get a call from the dealer about an hour after I spoke to Kawi and they have a new cover on order and will exchange it for the ripped one.

Kawi rep called me to make sure the dealer contacted me. So far I am impressed with the customer service.

yup, But the crappy dealers will sell you a brick if you are dumb enough to buy one. Just look above at SS newest experience, the dealer did NOTHING until the Manufacturer stepped in. Dealers don't give a chit and will not be your advocate unless forced to do so.
