Damn its been years since a single post turned into 9 pages.. I used to check in daily and now it might be once a month. Unfortunately this place has turned boring for me over the years. Back in the mid 2000'S this place was busy with people posting and selling. This site needs change and new blood. If a certain amount of people dont like a logo change, fuk em. Let Dave do his thing. Cant get any worse then it already is. For the amount of people that go to glaimis, offroading, camping, this site should be full of people sharing information. I really hope RIverDave can make GlamisDunes.com GREAT AGAIN!!
 
The whole I’ve been here longer mentally is what kills most sites. Some of you old timers here are what runs off the new generation of duners. Just look at all the bitching about noise and late nights in the washes and the ghost camping threads that pop up every season. Keep screaming get off my lawn and pretty soon you’ll get what you ask for.

Really no different than the channel threads in Havasu, EZ ups, ghost space savers, trash etc. on RDP It's the same on all formats. The fact that this thread went 9 pages so far here and only 3 on RDP has to speak for itself.
 
Ya we really need to welcome the "New Generation" of off roaders who just trash the place and Say F you to anyone who doesn't want to listen to their crap music all night long. We should just turn Glamis into lake Perris South.... I mean F those old timers...wtf do they know.
 
It’s Dave’s website now. More traffic here will help the site. If the og’s want their own spot let them have the scorpion’s den. It ain’t being used for Epo’s anymore.

I still prefer the original logo. Just not at the expense of this site getting back to what it was.
 
All this talk makes me think of the big picture.

These forums are paid for by marketing ads, and they need numbers to be here and contribute in order to substantiate their worth. Its a double edge sword, we need them for a place to whine and complain and they need us to contribute so they can get paid. Love it or leave it, its the circle of life.

New Logo, Old Logo, i'm over it.

Back to the real question, what is the main driver to get traffic back on the site.

I recommended a few good ones IMHO. Social Sharing (Xenforo has these tools built in, there are add ons available) and Connected Accounts (Social Media ease of posting).

I also still say that a Snap Chat and TikTok account are huge areas to cross post for visual impact and audience (folks younger then 30)

Get this in place before the SSSS.


People visit a site once and decide if they ever click back.
