I dove into reading about lithium batteries, and I feel a little more confused than when I started. I'm not paying a grand for a battery; I want it to be under 200 bucks. It's just for a trolling motor.
I've been reading good reviews for Power Queen, Watt Cycle, Redodo, eco-worthy, and a few other's. Has anybody had any real experience with them? A lot of people are saying to get ones that have a BMS with Bluetooth, but in my mind, that's just more shit to break.
I also want a budget friendly tester so I can check the health and balance of the cells and do a discharge test. Unless Bluetooth is the way to go and the Bluetooth app is enough?
Do you have any suggestions or experience with lesser-known brands, such as generic ones?
I understand the quality of the cells and all the potential problems. Again this is just for a trolling motor but I'll probably convert everything after I figured this all out.
So in summary, I need a good recommendation for a cheap battery and a good tester.
Much appreciated!

I just installed (2) LiTime 12V 100Ah Lithiums on my new IROK and so far everything seems good. I went with the BT version because I'm nerdy and like to see what's happening within the battery itself....pretty cool!!
First time for me as well and this was just done last month so a little early to give a legitimate review but so far so good.

Check out the DIYSolarForum. I taught myself enough about solar to build a "solar generator" battery box thingy.
I came to a conclusion that the Elefast 12.8V 100ah battery would work for what i was doing. Haven't used it much to review it, but it was cheap enough, and I'm cheap.
Ended up using a Licitti box that has the crap built into it, just add battery.

I did they LiTime on my Weekend Warrior last season. Flawless. Couldn't be happier, especially for the price point. Definitely worth a look.
