King Of The Hammers Going East?

This should be an AWESOME spot. Dave says his track is going to be down in a strip mine valley. They will be clearing off the top of the mountain for a viewing area. Race fans will be able to see MILES of the track from the viewing area at the top of the mountain.

It's not Cali pushing them out. It's the Marine base assuming the air rights over the valley.

During the closing ceremonies of this years KOH, they said something to the effect of "Thanks to 20 years in the rocks. Here's to the next 20 in the desert".

KOH might be done.

Hopefully not. Dave seems to find ways around things and make the race happen.
 
The KOH isn't going anywhere. This is a brand new venture by Dave. He dropped by our shop about a week ago and told some of my guys all about it. I'm assuming he was in the area because he was working on stuff down there at the new property. He mentioned building a short course and woods course. Spectators can sit on top of the mountain and view pretty much all of it. It'll be nice to have a BIG race over on this side of the country with legit rules and support.
